After a satisfying and rewarding
career in theatre management with Kerridge Odeon for
twenty years, I married and moved to North Auckland
where I further developed my passion for art and artistry
that started as a young child.
I studied art at high school for
4 years then moved on to Cox's Art School in Auckland
during the early 60's. I attended and enjoyed numerous
workshops and painting holidays with acclaimed New Zealand
artists. That led to my involvement with a co-operative
art gallery in Albany Village for the following nine
years. This experience allowed me to build my own successful
art gallery/studio in the village and I have been here
since.
I do a lot of commissioned paintings
and many of my works have made their way overseas. I
love to paint on location. My next goal is to travel
New Zealand painting the wondrous scenery in our country.
I paint with all mediums in a variety of styles and
as I paint each day, my work tends to reflect my mood.
Here are some of my accomplishments
that demonstrate my passion for art and commitment to
artistry in New Zealand.
